I asked a teammate this morning how she was doing. It seemed like there weren't really the words to express everything so we just both simply told each other that we were going through our check lists and living each day with what it had in it. You see, my teammate is part of our Vacation Bible School. In fact, most of you, my wonderful teammates are living your lifes fully until we leave.
Let's see...
5 of you are working so you can go
5 of you are serving at the Vacation Bible School
2 of you are spending your days preparing for the fall season and then coming over to the Vacation Bible School when you get off
I am taking a class this week to be trained to lead
and the rest of our teammates (the ones staying and sending AND the ones that we are meeting) are praying, and giving, and encouraging, and preparing!
Here's my checklist for today:
1) soak in God's word
2) keep my housework done
3) work on an encouragement project for Sunday night
4) stop the mail
5) kiss Dave (aka my hubby)
What's on your checklist?
"Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." (Romans 13:8, 10 ESV)
Team,
ReplyDeleteWe may had already read these verses together on the blogspot (early in our preparations). However, it's a refreshing reminder from God's Word-anytime:
"A new command I give to you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another (John 13:34-35).
