Living Life out Loud: mentoring and being a mentor

It's time to start praying about finding a mentor that you would meet with a couple of times before your trip, that they would pray for you during the trip, and that you would meet with after the trip.

You'll get more details soon on setting up a time with your mentor and some paper work that will help to facilitate purposeful conversations.  If you already have a mentor it is highly encouraged that this would be the first person you pray about being your mentor.  Ideally the mentor will be someone older than you both physically and spiritually.  If you are an adult and are not being currently mentored, you could also consider a peer.

Please be in prayer today about who you will ask about being a mentor.  On tomorrow's blog we will discuss mentoring and being mentored more.

Until then, be practicing good communication with everyone you meet.

"...but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect," (1 Peter 3:15 ESV)

  1. Having a Mentor will be invaluable! It will bless both the one mentoring and the one receiving the mentoring. Thank you for encouraging us to do this.
