Reflections on Cross-Cultural Training and Team Building in Portland

Please reflect on a few things today:

*Who are the faces and names that you remember from the trip?

*What seemed important to each group for a Sunday gathering?

*What grabs your heart from time at church and time in the city?

  1. Pastor Esteban demonstrated amazing hospitality throughout the weekend. His wife mad amazing food and his daughter Uri was a joy to talk to during our Monday evening dinner. Pastor Esteban was the last one we saw Tuesday morning as we stopped on our way home in Troutdale. God is so good to allow us to visit with him briefly one more time at his place of employment.

Singing songs unto the LORD seemed to be of great value to each congregation that we joined on Sunday.

My heart was grabbed by the diversity of people groups from around the globe that all worshipped in one building. One prayer is that they would be One.

    1. The singing was a huge part! I loved Sunday night when we all were praising God, no matter what ethnicity or language we speak.

    2. It was mentioned in the Micronesian Church that the island of Micronesia isn't even visible on some maps, because it is so small. However, "For God so loved the world" and He loves this group of people so much, that His Gospel truth reached them. Praise Him! It blessed my heart to contemplate His LOVE while sitting in their church service.
      Thank you, LORD,
      Christy

    3. I agree that the singing was a "huge part" of our day. It was great and refreshing especially at Pastor Pershon's home after the evening service. Thanks for sharing, Christy.
